'How Can I Grow One?'
*Recommendations before planting*
It's recommended that you grow zinnia from seed right in the garden
bed, as they do not like to be transplanted, if they are do so early on
and be cautious. From seed, they will grow very quickly in the right conditions.
Zinnias are sensitive to frost, so do not seed until the last frost has passed in your area. Zinnias will grow in a minimum daytime temperature of about 16℃, though a range of 23-28℃ is preferred.

Time to Grow!
- Space plants about 10-24 cm apart.
- Sow zinnia seeds only about 0.6 - 1.3cm deep.
- Most zinnia varieties grow tall and need staking to prevent
their heavy stems from lying on the ground.
- Maintain moderate soil moisture and fertilize lightly to maximize growth and blooms.
Important Maintenance
When you first sow zinnia seeds, water them every 1-2 days and keep the soil nice and moist but not too soggy to avoid drowning the plant. Once zinnias are established, they generally need water 2-3 times a week, depending on weather conditions unless you're gardening indoors. Signs of under watching : Zinnias will droop or show signs of wilting.
Signs of over watching : The soil will feel soggy, and the plants may exhibit yellowing leaves or signs of root rot.

Fun Facts
- Zinnias are annuals, meaning they have the ability to grow in one season but the original plant will not come back in following years.
- Zinnias prefer full sun and well-drained soil.
- Three types of blooms are single, double, and semi-double.
- Zinnias are pet-friendly and are
non-toxic to pets, unlike other
flowers.
